Josh was born in Beloit, Wi. and is a die-hard Packers fan. He has always been involved in sports and has trained in many different martial arts. In 2008 he pursued a career as a MMA and Kickboxing fighter and moved to Houston to train with former UFC Fighter Sam Hoger. After numerous injuries, Josh transferred the skills he had developed through the fine dining industry, where he learned a high level of customer service, to the roofing industry. One of the first things Josh noticed was that many contractors in the business had poor skills in communication, follow-up and customer service. He saw a great need for improvement and began to focus on processes to help others learn to strive for great customer service. As Josh explains, “While the construction industry is ever-changing, one thing remains the same: customers want to be taken care of and that will forever be my goal.” Josh loves a good meal and traveling all over the world. He Married his wife Jennifer on a beach in Mexico September of 2018 . He is “dad” to 2 rescue dogs, Jordy Nelson and Finley (Jermichael), as well as a giant Maine Coon cat, Lambeau he also fosters dogs when time allows.
Since starting the company, Darrin has focused on providing top of line products, old-style customer service and the highest quality installation. Darrin is responsible for maintaining quality control, ensuring timely installation, and assuring customer satisfaction from the entire Rebuild Texas team. Darrin has been in the building industry for more than 26 years, owning or operating businesses such as flooring, remodeling and exterior construction companies. In his spare time, Darrin enjoys traveling to Llamado Eterno in Honduras to build and expand the church and school, spending time with family and friends, and flying his airplane every chance he gets. Darrin hopes to leave a legacy of love, compassion and a willingness to provide for and help others at any opportunity.
Nick developed an early interest in residential and commercial construction, where as a child, he could be found in the workshop taking things apart just to see how they worked — which led to lots of broken electronics and household items but helped him learn how things work. That fascination carried on to his desire for education, completing courses in Technical Drafting, Building Trades and receiving Autocad Certification. Nick has worked with industry leaders in all trades from the foundation, framing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, siding, roofing and finish work. Nick has taken an interest in insurance estimation and holds Level I and II certification in Xactimate. Nick and his teenage children, Blake and Hailee, enjoy camping, fishing, riding four-wheelers and enjoying the outdoors. Nick resides in Bedford. TX.
Jennifer has worked with Rebuild Texas since 2016. Jennifer graduated from Kansas State University in 2012 and is currently working on her Masters at The University of North Texas (UNT). Although Jennifer grew up in Missouri, she moved to Texas to be closer to family after graduating college. She serves as Commander in a Training Unit with the United States Army Reserve. Jennifer has two dogs, Jordy and Finley, and two horses, Yoshi and Marcus. Jennifer spends her free time volunteering as Assistant Coach for UNT’s Equestrian Team. Jennifer enjoys replacing windows and being part of the transformation of their homes.
Cody is a native Texan who grew up in a small town outside of Muenster, Texas. As a young boy he spent his weekends working on a dairy farm and hauling hay. When he got older he spent his summers during high school and college working with his dad in the commercial restoration and weatherproofing industry. After college he worked for a medical device company but realized his true passion was in construction and working directly with clients. To get back to his roots, he joined Rebuild Texas in 2013. In his spare time Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and coaching their two daughters in soccer, basketball and softball. Although a native Texan, you can catch him cheering on his beloved football team, The Green Bay Packers.
Erik is originally from Minot, N.D., and is the youngest of six children in his family. He completed 10 years of military service in the US Army where he served in the Army Core of Engineers as a Combat Engineer. While serving, he received 8 Army Achievement Medals and 2 Army Accommodation Medals. Additionally, he was awarded the Korean War Presidential Citation. Erik is a globetrotter — living in and visiting most of Europe, traveling to Egypt, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Panama, Canada, and all over the United States. He has two sons, Cameron and Logan, and says that they are the little people that make him most proud. A fun fact about Erik is that he was our Top Salesman for the 2019 fiscal year. Prior to joining the Rebuild Texas team, had a career in automotive service and sales. According to Erik, “Joining the Rebuild Texas team has been a fantastic experience. Working with people who truly care, are supportive of each other’s success, and are genuinely happy to see each other is gratifying.”
(In Loving Memory) Becky was with the Rebuild Texas team for over 10 years. She grew up in a small farming town in northern Oklahoma where her grandfather and father were practicing physicians for more than 50 years. This upbringing led her to earn a nursing degree from Texas Christian University and gave her the opportunity to enjoy a career as a neonatal ICU nurse, even having had the privilege to Life Flight many sick babies in remote areas back to her unit. She was blessed to adopt two children who are now in their early twenties. Her daughter is completing commercial airline pilot training, and her son is an awesome cook who dreams of being a celebrity chef one day. Throughout her life, Becky enjoyed getting together with friends and family, live music, theater, traveling, discovering fabulous restaurants. One of her favorite pastimes included “reading a good sci-fi book or two”. Becky’s caring attitude and concern for the project is why she was honored with the Outstanding Customer Service Award for four years in a row and remained one of our top performers during her time in sales here. She will forever be remembered here at Rebuild Texas as the ultimate exemplification of kindness, care, and hard work. She sadly passed away from cancer in 2017. She will be missed dearly for her enthusiasm on and off the job, and overall zest for life.
Matt was born and raised in upstate New York, where he graduated High School. Once graduated, Matt began working, moving from one job to the next, trying to find his calling. It wasn‘t until he joined the Army that he found that calling. From January 2001 until December 2010, Matt served as a Cavalry Scout. He is a decorated combat veteran, earning some prestigious awards throughout his career. Some of these awards include the Army Commendation Medal with Valor x2, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Purple Heart. He also holds the high honor of Drill Sergeant, where he was privileged to train the Nation’s future Warfighters. While serving in Afghanistan, Matt was wounded during combat operations, resulting in the need for numerous back surgeries, a m-TBI (mild traumatic brain injury), as well as other injuries that resulted in him being medically retired from service. Once retired, Matt was blessed to find his new calling in the Storm Restoration business. He joined the Rebuild Texas family back in 2013. Matt started out as a canvasser and then has moved his way up to Senior Project Manager/ Regional Sales Manager. Matt looks forward to a long and prosperous career with Rebuild Texas Construction. He is the proud father of 4 girls. They Are Abby (12), Keeley (6), Kyndall (4), and Kennedy (2).
Katelyn is originally from Washington State where she graduated from High School with her Associates Degree . She went to school in Massachusetts attending Assumption College, and has a Degree in psychology and Pre Med in three years. After school she started working as a medical scribe and spent a year and a half working in different areas of health care. She did this until she moved to Texas in March 2021 to be with her now husband. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, golfing, and studying to prepare her for going back to school.
Jerry Powell Jr.
Jerry Lee Powell Jr. was born and raised in East Texas where he went to college and graduated with an associate degree at Kilgore College, home of the Rangerettes. Born a son of the Republic, Jerry’s family has resided in Texas before Texas was a state of the union. Since the 1940’s, the Powell family has specialized in moving houses and restoration. From the time he was little, you could find him on a job site helping crews set foundations, put on roofs, rework structural framing; essentially anything to get a home ready to be sold and moved down the road. Jerry no longer moves houses today, however with his extensive background in restoring houses, he has continued helping homeowners restore their homes here in the DFW region. He is a loving father with two sons and a beautiful daughter. He enjoys coaching football, boxing, MMA and riding BMX with his boys and playing soccer with his daughter. Jerry actively volunteers in the community by helping serve meals to the homeless and provide Christmas gifts to families in need. Through hard work and dedication, Jerry Powell strives to help people on a daily basis whether at work, play, or charitable events. In his words, “It is a privilege to serve the community in which I live.” At Rebuild Texas, Jerry works hard to provide more than just an experience. Through building relationships, we can offer the most when it comes to your home.
Nathan comes from a large loving Texas family, where there is never a dull moment. As a boy, he had aspirations to become a professional motocross rider. As a father of triplets, “never a dull moment” theme has continued to this day. He is proactively juggling after school activities and events for his kids whilst balancing workflow. He strives to become the best father he can be for his children. Nathan also enjoys riding mountain bikes, playing outdoors, and spending time with family. He looks forward to helping his community and neighbors in order to build family, faith, and personal development values. Nathan believes in doing every job correctly without compromising quality and safety. And he wants to thank RebuildTX for providing him with a platform to do so!
Bianca Mireles is a Project Manager with ReBuild Texas, she was born in Houston, TX and raised in Arlington, TX, home of the Dallas Cowboys ✭, Bianca now resides in Hurst, TX with her family. She is fluent in English and Spanish and loves to assist our Spanish speaking customers with getting their roofs inspected and filing their claims. Prior to starting with ReBuild Texas she was a Litigation Paralegal for 17 years for a Personal Injury attorney. She enjoys spending time with her 13-year-old son Jaxson and 3-year-old stepdaughter Ariel, watching them bond and play together despite their huge age gap makes her the happiest. On Bianca’s time off, you can catch her at the gym working out or relaxing at home with her husband watching Netflix or cooking together. One of her favorite things to do is go to concerts, she loves the vibe and energy at concerts. Bianca’s goal is to network and build relationships with others in the community and get them to trust us so that they can remember us and call us when they need a new roof, or any repairs or remodeling done on their homes or businesses.
Gabriel was a college athlete for 3 years in Florida and Arizona. Once he was done with college he came back to DFW to enter the workforce. Gabriel had been a friend of Mathew Netzel as well as neighbors for a couple of years before he finally asked Matt for an opportunity at Rebuildtx. Gabriel started at Rebuild as a canvasser and began to learn the entire process from the ground up. After learning under the tutelage of Mathew Netzel he was promoted to project manager after months of shadowing and training in all aspects of the process. Gabriel now is a proud member of Rebuildtx project management team and continues to take the values and ideals taught to him in his training out into the field.
Kyle is originally from Washington state where he grew up playing sports until he graduated highschool. He then chose to play collegiate lacrosse in Massachusetts for 3 years until COVID ended his senior year early. In his free time, Kyle loves going to the gym and playing video games online with his friends he met at school. After graduating that same spring Kyle moved down to Texas where he was hired on as a canvasser in October 2020, since then he has been moved up to Project Manager and has also been joined by his new wife Katelyn. He Looks forward to many exciting years as he continues to learn and grow in the company. He would also love to someday be able to coach lacrosse down here as well and help the sport grow in Texas.
I’ve been in the construction industry since 1988, I have a general contractor’s license and ran my own construction company for 15 years, I also have five years’ residential HVAC technician and sales experience. My wife and I recently moved to Texas, we have 3 kids and love to spend time with family. When I’m not at work I enjoy gardening, hiking, backpacking, and fishing.
Brian was born in Illinois and is a die-hard Cowboys fan, he has been in the Construction industry since 1993 where he started working with his father. He learned every aspect of home building from foundation, framing, exterior to roofing. He studied building construction technology at a local college in Rockford, IL where he enjoyed learning the ins and outs of all building materials, drafting and autocad. He enjoys helping and educating people about the roofing and insurance process, being a part of the Rebuild Texas team allows that to happen. Brian has been in the DFW area for 9 years and has 2 kids and 1 dog(Makayla – in college in California) and (Blake – who lives and goes to high school in Burleson,Tx), Lizzy a black mouth cur. Brian enjoys spending time with family and friends Hiking, Kayaking, fishing, golfing, skydiving, and walking his dog.
Lisa graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BBA in Marketing and completed master’s studies in Health Services Administration at the University of Kansas. After enjoying a 29-year career in health care she started work in the real estate industry and is a licensed realtor with JLA Realty. She owns a portfolio of rental properties and recently completed the restoration of a century-old farmhouse that belonged to her great-grandparents.
Lisa and her husband, Robert, have been married for almost 30 years, and have two grown children. She and Robert enjoy playing with their grandkids, biking, running, weightlifting, and traveling. She shows horses with her daughters, sings with the praise team at her church, instructs 4-H horsemanship youth, and is a certified therapeutic riding instructor, teaching horseback riding to children and adults with special needs.
Lisa assists with marketing initiatives at Rebuild Texas, reviewing printed and electronic media materials, and assisting in sales efforts in the Houston market.
Ricardo was born in Queretaro, Mexico, he moved to Texas 15 years ago. He is married to Alejandra Rodriguez. They been married for 3 years and have two children, Ricardo is 14 years old and Juan is 12 years old. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar and singing, he also likes to play soccer and go to the movies.
Crystal began her journey with Rebuild Texas in October 2020. Although she came from a lengthy legal background, she has had no problem learning our field and utilizing her skills to make the most of her position. Her ultimate goal is to assist our customers through all stages of the process from scheduling inspections, through the contract signing, insurance process, and communication, to the very last payment, as quickly and painlessly as possible. Crystal uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing softball, and spending time with friends and family.
Skylar has been with Rebuild Texas since July of 2019. He studied at Stephen F Austin and spent 17 years in the railroad industry before joining the team at Rebuild. Skylar loves his family and his church. His 9-year-old son Tyce keeps him busy with multiple activities throughout the year, Baseball being #1. Skylar loves the outdoors and staying fit. If he’s not coaching his son, you’ll probably find him in the gym or on the disc golf course. Skylar’s faith is very important to him and loves to serve others. He volunteers at Life Church and Friends of Lancaster non-profit. Skylar is a customer service specialist that can’t wait to assist you with your next project.
